A chair designed by Mikinya Kobayashi. Its simple form means it can be placed anywhere
"HARU" is a design chair by Mikinya Kobayashi, one of Japan's leading furniture and interior designers.
Karimoku Furniture is committed to contributing to Japan's forestry industry by using small-diameter timber, which is normally used for pulp when forests are formed, as furniture material through fair trade.
The few pieces of wood from small-diameter trees are carefully combined and joined together to create durable furniture.
The design is characterized by its slenderness.
Wide seating area
The seat width is a wide 46cm.
Solid wood backrest
The backrest is made by gluing small pieces of wood together to make a large board that is then bent to fit the body's back.
Sled legs
The sled leg design connects the front and back legs with a crosspiece.
Although the wood is small, the crosspieces ensure its strength.
If you stick some commercially available chair felt on the four legs, it will be easier to pull the chair on a wooden floor.
HARU series
The series logo, which symbolically expresses HARU's concept of being environmentally friendly, is branded into the inside of the chair frame.
The rings that are the mark of the series are inspired by tree rings and the sun.
*Please note that the texture of Largo Series is different from the pictures.
"Natural Mark" is a proof of nature. At Karimoku, we believe that each piece has its own unique character.
