"Omi" is a dining chair made from small oak trees.
"Omi" is a chair made for a lodging facility in Omishima, Ehime Prefecture. It was born from a plan by the Ito Architecture School, led by architect Toyo Ito, to renovate an elementary school in Omishima into a lodging facility called "Ikoi-no-ie".
"Omi" was designed by Yasuji Fujimori (head of the Yasuji Fujimori Atelier).
It is small, and when lined up in a row, it has a distinctive expression. It also has a seat cushion like a pancake. It was designed with this image in mind. It is made of small oak trees and features a simple and compact design.
The seat cushion is upholstered, but can be easily removed.

The cushion fabric is available in a variety of colors. In addition, the Japanese oak wood and wood color are available in six colors.
