It is fortunate that the growth is delayed by wind and snow, which has been called Shakotan gorge and the age of 65 years, and that the growth has been slowed by dense planting. Shakotan Karamatsu is characterized by its strong redness and distinctive redness compared to that of Karamatsu in other areas in Hokkaido.
