The frontier series released in 1980 has been reprinted with Hokkaido's Shakotan Larch as the main material.

The reprinted FRONTIER use Chaku-tan Karamatsu with more than 50 years of age as the main material.

The old town of Shakotan Karamatsu is a beautiful country located in the Hokkaido Shakotan Peninsula.
About 65 years ago, it was planted at a high density of 3000 trees per hectare as a tree and scaffolding material at a roadside coal mine that was flourishing at that time. It is fortunate that the growth is delayed by wind and snow, which has been called Shakotan gorge and the age of 65 years, and that the growth has been slowed by dense planting. Shakotan Karamatsu is characterized by its strong redness and distinctive redness compared to that of Karamatsu in other areas in Hokkaido.
