The seat cushion is designed to envelop you in a three-dimensional way, and the bottom uses Dimetrol. This ensures excellent breathability and lightness. In addition, the front of the seat is shaped to alleviate pressure on blood flow behind the knees, making it comfortable even when sitting for long periods of time.
The backrest is also an important part that supports the body, and it utilizes "bentwood," a craftsmanship technique that Hida Sangyo proudly presents to the world. Bentwood is a material made by softening wood by steaming it, then fitting it into a curved shape and fixing it in place, and then drying it to form a curved surface. A backrest made with bentwood fits snugly to your back, allowing you to experience the comfort of being enveloped by the chair.
The legs are made using lathe turning and bent wood techniques, making them sturdy despite their slender appearance due to the consistent wood grain. The legs spread outwards towards the seat, creating a stable structure.
