This chair boasts slender, beautiful curves and, despite having arms, weighs only 2.5 kg. The gently curving armrests accentuate the minimalist aesthetic. Developed jointly by Danish designer Hans S. Jacobsen and a Japanese woodworking furniture manufacturer, with elegance, lightness, and simplicity as key themes, countless prototypes and tests were conducted to achieve both lightness and strength, resulting in a three-layer laminated frame structure. The complex combination of three layers of wood creates a sturdy, beautiful, and lightweight chair.
The seat, woven from a water-resistant material also used in fishing nets, possesses strength and lightness thanks to its optimal dimensions and unique weaving technique, while simultaneously weaving together a delicate texture and transparency. The supple and light form, stripped of unnecessary elements and retaining only what is essential, brings a light, airy feel to your living space.
An optional seat cushion is available. The cushion can be secured to the seat using wooden fasteners at its four corners.
