This is a grass rug that uses pure grass that has not been dyed with mud after cutting.
Rush has hygroscopic and humidity regulating effects, supporting a comfortable sleep.
We use domestic (Kyushu) rush. Each strand is thick, with a thick skin and fine fibers, making it elastic and durable.
Benefits of sleeping rush:
1. Approximately 2.5 times more moisture absorption than cotton
2. Does not get stuffy. By absorbing moisture from sweat, it lowers the temperature and promotes a comfortable sleep.
3．Reduces sweat odor. It suppresses over 90% of the chemicals that cause sweat odor. And so on. It reduces the dampness of sweat even in the hot Japanese summer.
For the lining, you can choose either Kaihara Denim, a denim brand with a 100-year history in Japan or the natural taste of linen fabric that gives a soft impression to your room. The back side is made of urethane, giving it a fluffy feel when stepping on it.
Rush is a natural material, so it is easier to cut than chemical materials. If the weaving system breaks in the middle of the machine during weaving, the part you want to cut may pop out, as shown in the photo on the right. This is not a defect, but a phenomenon called "breakage". If you cut the breakage with scissors or nail clippers, you can use it as is.
