Karimoku original rugs are made by Tango Textile, a company with a 70-year history in Kyotango, Kyoto. Each rug is carefully crafted with skilled techniques and a heart that have been passed down to the present day.
Hand-woven feel and craftsmanship
Karimoku original rugs are made using natural materials and nylon threads using the hand tufted method (hooks). The rich look created by the combination of different materials and yarn counts is what makes these rugs so appealing.
Eco-friendly and powerful deodorizing function comes standard with all original rugs/Triple Fresh II
Triple Fresh II is an environmentally friendly deodorizing technology that uses neither light nor electricity to deodorize. It uses oxygen in the air to break down eight odor-causing substances into safe substances such as water and carbon dioxide. There is no need to worry about the odor being re-emitted. There are no running costs, and it can continue to deodorize silently 24 hours a day.
Anti-mite processing
Anti-mite finish that meets the standards of the Interior Fabric Performance Evaluation Council. The repellent effect keeps mites away, so there is no need to worry about allergens from dead mites.
Heat-resistant processing
This product is heat-resistant and can withstand the heat of heated carpets and heated floors. When using it as a cover, please follow the instructions of the heated carpet or heated floor manufacturer.
Flame retardant treatment
This is a flame-retardant product that has passed the flame-retardant performance test of the Japan Fire Retardant Association. This rug is flame-retardant and reduces secondary damage in the event of a fire.
*Natural Loop is not flame-retardant.
Sheer Mix Cut
This rug is made of high-density nylon yarn that is soft to the touch and does not easily shed, giving it a firm, shiny finish. The different color mix yarns create a rich texture. It has a firm, resilient feel underfoot.
Colors available:
*Products made from spun yarns such as wool will have loose fibers due to the nature of the fibers, but this is not a quality defect.
*Due to the nature of the product, it cannot be washed at home. For partial stains, use a carpet cleaner.
