Description

[MORITO]

A stylish line-up of forest log stools that can be combined with irons. While taking advantage of the natural texture of the log, its compact size makes it perfect for the living room, a small sofa table, or as a stand for placing ornamental plants.

The thickness of the stump is approximately 8 cm, and while the three legs give it a solid feel, it maintains the industrial feel of iron while still being cute. The stump is made from thinned cedar, and is characterized by the contrast between the red part in the centre and the white part around it, as well as the beautiful annual rings.

*About back splitting process

Back splitting is a cut made into the core of unseasoned coniferous wood (cedar or cypress). It is a craftsman's skill to insert it straight with a chainsaw, and it has been used for pillars of the Imperial Palace and shrines since ancient times. Since wood is still alive, it will crack as it dries. Although the back split is a device to minimize cracks on the surface, please be aware that cracks will still occur.

[Cleaning Instructions]
Wipe with a cloth dampened with water or hot water. Adding moisture to the wood will make it less likely to crack.
If there are any cracks, adding moisture will make them less noticeable. Adding moisture will make the seat feel a little fluffy.
If this happens, let it dry and then polish it with fine sandpaper to restore it to its original state.
Please note that the iron surface coating may peel off due to use.
