Knar. Trees have branches, and lumber has knars. Grains, knars and colors of different lumber differ due to the location and environment, such as weather, in which the tree grew. veneer with knar is used to produce a solid wood-like atmosphere.
section
The traces of branches that can be seen in the wood grain are called "fushi". In the process of growth, wood spreads branches and leaves, and stores nutrients. The branches grow larger as they grow, and the core of the branches remains in the trunk. Due to the use of natural materials, the shape of the knots, wood grain, and color are different one by one. This is one of the charms of SALA , which is the uniqueness of natural materials that no two are the same .
About material
Some items such as boards, sofas and desks are made from 0.6mm knotted white oak veneer . By using thick veneer, the finish is excellent in durability and maintainability while maintaining a texture that is closer to that of solid wood. In addition, since the urethane resin coating is applied to the finish , daily maintenance is easy .
