Precautions
Porcelain has a dense base and becomes semi-vitreous after firing, so it does not absorb water. Because it is handmade, there will be variations in the pattern, and there will be slight differences in size and shape from piece to piece. There may also be cracks or scratches from firing, but please enjoy these as a unique feature of handmade items. When porcelain is fired, small holes called "pinholes" may appear on the surface, caused by the combustion of air or organic matter remaining in the base. Iron originally contained in the clay may oxidize during firing in the kiln, resulting in black spots appearing on the surface. Please understand that these are due to the characteristics of the material and the manufacturing process. Please enjoy the texture created using traditional methods, which differs from industrial products.
