This shelf is one of the CO, DA, and MA series designed by Hokkaido heavy snow woodworker and designer Mr. Okube. We are particular about the design and grain of the tree to bring out the original beauty of the tree. Rather than straight-grained, annual rings were lined up in a straight line, instead of straight-grained parts, the parts that gradually became plate-grained were selected, and the flow was finished in a straight-grained form. 無垢材に近い質感の 美しい“流れ柾目”。
この洗練されたデザインは、自然本来の美にもこだわりました。使用しているのはウォールナットで、高級感があり、上品で落ち着いた印象の素材です。木の切り出し方で、木目の表情は全く違った印象になります。年輪が平行に整然と並ぶ柾目ではなく、柾目から次第に板目になる個所を選りすぐって、流れ柾目に仕上げました。華奢に見えますが、しっかりとした安定感があり、機能的なつくりです。棚板の縦に流れる木目のラインが美しく、落ち着いた空間にしてくれます。
