Alder is a typical hardwood on the west coast of the United States and the northwest coast of the Pacific Ocean. Alder have a similar temperament to the trees native to Japan.
Because it is relatively soft and easy to process, it is popular as a furniture material. It is a material that makes you feel warm, and it has a deep natural colour and texture that is unique to Alder.
