A mat made of Japanese rush. Rush has hygroscopic and humidity regulating properties, helping sweaty children sleep comfortably. It is also recommended for preventing heat rash in babies with delicate skin.

We use domestic (Kyushu) rush. Each strand is thick, with a thick skin and fine fibers, making it elastic and durable.

Benefits of sleeping rush:
1. Approximately 2.5 times more moisture absorption than cotton
2. Does not get stuffy. By absorbing moisture from sweat, it lowers the temperature and promotes a comfortable sleep.
3.Reduces sweat odor. It suppresses over 90% of the chemicals that cause sweat odor. And so on. It reduces the dampness of sweat even in the hot Japanese summer.

The surface of the rush is treated with natural Aomori cypress, which has antibacterial and deodorizing effects. Hiba oil extracted from Hiba trees in Aomori Prefecture is processed into materials and products using the manufacturer's proprietary technology. Hiba oil contains hinokitiol, a natural substance with extremely high antibacterial properties, and research is underway to utilize it in a variety of fields, including medicine and food.

Rush is a natural material, so it is easier to cut than chemical materials. If the weaving system breaks in the middle of the machine during weaving, the part you want to cut may pop out, as shown in the photo on the right. This is not a defect, but a phenomenon called "breakage". If you cut the breakage with scissors or nail clippers, you can use it as is.
