Description

CONNECTED Leesstoel
Furniture does not have to be a strange shape because its existence itself is ever-changing.
Therefore, I seek out the most typical and standard forms.
I don't know who designed it, the most common shape.

The size of the frame seen from the front, side, and top is consistently “30” or “48”. As a sign of the entire series, the joints are "three-piece jointed", so you can enjoy the handiwork common to all items. Combining linearly designed cushions with his CONNECTED frame, he created a lean and sophisticated chair.

“Leestoel” means reading chair in Dutch. With books and coffee on the Lage tafel and Kruk, and a seat on the Leesstoel, you can take your time alone. By arranging the items in the series, you can create a cohesive space like a family from their common shapes.

CONNECTED begins with this idea by designer Koen, “Making all items from materials of the same size.” The answer we found as a beautifully balanced size is “30×48”. Using this member, the most typical and standard shapes were drawn.
