Kruk stool
Furniture does not have to be a strange shape because its existence itself is ever-changing.
Therefore, I seek out the most typical and standard forms.
I don't know who designed it, the most common shape.
Designed by Koen Tossijn
CONNECTED begins with this idea by designer Koen, “Making all items from the same size materials”. The answer we found as a beautifully balanced size is “30×48″. Using this member, the most typical and standard shapes were drawn.
The size of the frame seen from the front, side, and top is consistently “30” or “48”. As a sign of the entire series, the joints are "three-piece jointed". “Kruk” means stool in Dutch. Kruk, the most compact of the series, is packed with CONNECTED charm that can be used not only as a seat but also as a side table or bedside nightstand. By arranging the items in the series, you can create a cohesive space like a family from their common shapes.
From Koen's desire to think of Japanese forests, all wooden parts are made of domestically produced oak.
