A Japanese design produced at the request of Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture. We have created a lighting product with a mechanism that
creates sustainable and employment opportunities . "Thin kanna" series made by reusing planer scraps . When lit, a warm orange light shines through the wood and gently illuminates his room.
Thin planer scraps with a thickness of around 1 mm are rolled into a mold to create a stronger tension.
The rounded planer scraps are further fine-tuned and pasted together to create a sphere-like design.
When lit, the shade casts a shadow on the wall. The size and density of the shadow will change depending on the distance from the light fixture to the wall.
"Remnant material" that comes out when producing products.
Can I solve it by saying it can't be helped?
I always have such questions.
At that time, I received a design request from Uonuma City.
When I visited the site and saw the rich nature,
I felt that I should take care of the earth.
Therefore, we reviewed garbage and things that would be thrown away, and
gave shape to the idea of cherishing resources
It is a sustainable design that is completed by
carefully handcrafting light and thin planer scraps by the people of Uonuma City
and reviving the life of precious trees . People from NPO groups and labor facilities in Uonuma City also participate in making works.

■ Each item is slightly different in shape and size
because it is commercialized so that you can enjoy the individuality of the material as much as possible.

■ Due to the use of natural wood, there are individual differences in the color and pattern of the shade.
■ Since the shade is made from recycled planer scraps from sawing,
there may be fine scratches or hangnails on the shade, but this is not a defect.

■ We will repair or replace any damage caused by shipping or defective lighting within the warranty period.
